Living a lie

Lance Armstrong used to be known as a living legend: not anymore. Since he was outed on his extensive and sophisticated use of drugs to win several cycling titles, he is now thought of as a cheating, lying fiend.

The impressive picture of a man of excellent accomplishment that he previously cut is rather quickly pixelating into a garish image of a graceless loser.

However, while Lance Armstrong’s case easily gains notoriety because of his profile, he is certainly not the only lying and cheating hypocrite trying to hold on to stuff he never earned. Many People who cheated their way through school conveniently have no scruples using those unearned qualifications to make a living for the rest of their lives.

If nothing else, we can lessen the hypocrisy by not joining the ‘righteous’ to stone Lance and perhaps when we do sum up enough courage, we can look in the mirror and tell off the hypocrite that stares back at us.

Indeed…

Bread gained by deceit is sweet to a man, But afterward his mouth will be filled with gravel. (Proverbs 20:17 NKJV)
